Resolved Question: Best way to deal with an actual Death Threat?
Please read all of this before commenting, I have included every bit of information possible.
I have a psycho religious crazy neighbor that has made what I consider to be a death threat, but I fear she is untouchable. This lady has caused tremendous grief for me both financially and mentally since I bought my house 2 years ago. She is not a direct neighbor of mine, and it’s almost a half mile drive for her to get to my house.
It started in February of 2007 when I had first moved in, my neighbor’s dogs were barking and she became irate with me that I would not do anything to control them. She demanded in my house and had her nerdy goon of a son with her, who tried pushing his way past me into my house. I blocked him and she threatened to sue me for trying to cause harm to her child.
The next round came in April of 2007 when she called the police about me using a palm sander to sand my car. Even though my city has no “quiet hours” I was fined $150 and the judge upheld it.
Then in June of 2007 she claimed that I was harboring 5 dogs (our city limit is 3 and all have to be registered). I owned 2 at the time, both registered and legal. The Animal Control officer picked them up claiming they did not have collars on. He made me pay a $100 cash fine to get the dogs back and wrote me over 25 tickets totaling more than $3,000 for the 5 dogs saying I had let them out minutes before. Again, I went to court and the judge uphelp ALL fines saying that I was unable to prove that I did not have the animals, even though the officer admitted he did not see any animals and had not picked any up in our area.
Then January of 2008 my motorcycle mysteriously caught fire, and ended up burning my house down. Luckily the fire department rescued my dog inside the house and I was not home. The fire was never investigated as an arson.
While the house was being rebuilt the same lady filed complaint after complaint that the workmen were being too noisy, the cranes were too tall, the dumpster was an eyesore, you name it. Then in March of 2008 at 2am she came over to the house because she heard a barking dog. She forced the front door open and came into the house, where one of my dogs bit her. She took me to court suing for damages and the euthinazation of my dog, under her supervision. The same judge kept referring to her as “the pretty young lady” and saying that I was a nuisance.
So I have taken an active part in our neighborhood, and with the help of another homeowner, started an alliance to try to curb the recent spike in crime. I was elected to the office of Vice President and she now claims I am the AntiChrist, citing my “rise to power”.
Normally none of this would bother me, but remember the psycho crazy religious statement. She is a part of a fringe Baptist Church that has been and is being investigated to be a domestic terrorist group. They are listed on a few cult watch websites, mainly for giving full blown assault rifles to teenage boys in the church. Her son is now 18 and I am sure has been given one of these wonderful manhood passage rights.
A next door neighbor of hers was so scared about comments this lady made that she came to my house at 11 pm last night to warn me.
She is a constant threat to our dogs, everyones. Last week she got mad at another neighbor and followed police cars into our cul de sac demanding that they round up every dog and have them all put down. All the neighbors hid their dogs and we lied saying we think she let them all out, as most of us keep them in our homes anyhow.
I would say we would start looking for a new neighborhood, but my credit is horrible now and there is no way I can get a loan for another home.
Also, a restraining order is not really an option as I’m sure the judge would never sign one against her, and it would have to go through him, and may tip her over the edge.
Her husband “committed suicide”, but a friend of mine who left the church said that he was afraid of her and wanted to leave but the church essentially voted to have him murdered.
She has slaughtered cats and left them on the front porches of neighbors as a “cleansing” against the devil.
She says her son is now a “soldier of God” and “poised to rid the world of evil with the spilt blood of the devil”
Also, she works for a somewhat powerful attorney and he makes her legal problems disappear, no matter how severe.
What can I do? Anything? We are in Oklahoma, in a small town that in about 3 square miles surround by a much larger city, on all sides. I am seriously now afraid for my life, but have no idea what to do. Please help!
We would, really, but the financial situation will not allow it. We have animals that apartments and rentals will not allow, including a squirrel. Plus I have vehicles that are stored in the backyard which is an acre, that we really cannot get rid of.
Well federal authorities have supposedly looked into this too, but they are careful to not make direct ties to their members. I’m worried that I’ll be dead before anything can be done, and all in the name of God. I’m Baptist and normal, not the AntiChrist by the way
This is her church.

Check it all out, websites and everything. Everyone in the neighborhood fears her. I would take the first shot, but I’m not about to go to jail when she has the law on her side

Reminder, already crazy.
Son probably has a full out assault rifle, this has been confirmed by ex memebers of the “church”
I’m more interested in staying alive not making her eyes itch
At this point I have no option of moving out unfortunatly. With the mortgage and everything I am maxed out, and if I sell I will not be able to buy a new home, not to mention it may be hard to sell if they find out about her
We do have a law called “Make my Day” which allows you to shoot to kill someone in your home. I’ve heard we have another called “Stand Your Ground” which allows you to shoot to kill someone making a serious threat with a weapon on your property. My concern is I’ll go to jail or worse be sentenced to death if it came to something like this. No joke, she has already circumvented the law many times, and this judge upholds anything that she wants.
This is her church.
