Section 8 Consolidation Program

Become a Section 8 Landlord

Applications for Section 8 or Public Housing are always free at your local housing authority if they are accepting applications. Section8programs.com has no affiliation with HUD, the government or your local housing authority. Our mission is to help those that are low income find applications online for various government rental assistance programs nation wide. In addition, we help our clients to discover many other programs that would benefit a low income person. We charge a small fee for our research which is consolidated in our Online Packet. We can not guarantee that your housing authority is accepting applications at this time, but we do update our Online Packet each week with this information.

Section8programs.com also offers a privately funded grant program, the Section 8 Consolidation Program. This program awards small assistance grants for daily expenses, not housing vouchers. Grantees are selected every 48 hours. Applicants for this grant program help determine who is most in need by voting for others at the end of the application process. This process allows our applicants to see who is being granted and why. All of our grantees receive a small assistance check in the mail about four or five days after applying.

The Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher program is a government subsidized housing assistance program for a low income family or individual. The tenant will pay about 30% to 40% of their monthly income towards their rent. Section 8 will pay for (subsidize) the rest.

Landlords must have their property inspected by a division of their local PHA in order to rent to a Section 8 tenant and accept the Section 8 housing voucher. The landlord will prepare their own lease that will be no less than for one year.

The Section 8 Consolidation Program combines low-income grants with subsidized housing resources for a low income family or individual. This information and application is provided to all applicants in our Section 8 and Subsidized Housing Online Packet. The Section 8 Consolidation Program is a privately funded grant program and is not affiliated with the government, HUD or your local PHA. The grants awarded are small assistance grants intended to help with daily expenses like food or bills.

The Section 8 and Subsidized Housing Online Packet was designed to eliminate certain obstacles. Some of these obstacles include: non awareness of various subsidized housing programs and a shortage of landlords able or willing to accept Section 8 tenants.

Resolved Question: Am I at risk of being terminated for an off-duty altercation with an on-duty manager?
On December 24th I was at my place of employment (Lowe’s) during the Oklahoma City blizzard. I intended to drop my girlfriend off, which she also works for Lowe’s, but I ended up staying three hours longer at the store intermittently helping co-workers and customers leave the parking lot. There was an actual blizzard that accumulated quite quickly with wind speeds as high as 60 mph. I was able to help multiple customers and employees on my OWN time out of the compassion of hoping they would be able to make it home safe on this Christmas Eve.

Here’s the conflict: I entered the store once again to my manager stating that I was causing chaos and distracting my girlfriend from working. However, I disagree because I hadn’t even spoken to her but a few times that evening. This manager refused to close the store even though a state of emergency had been declared, the highways were shut down, and darkness was approaching. As this manager angrily demanded I leave, I stated I was only trying to help, but he continued to say I was nothing but a distraction. I was instantly angered at this notion and presumed to tell him that he lacked the fortitude and ineptness to make a moral decision to send these remaining employees home. He then presumed to threaten to call the cops if I didn’t not immediately vacate premises. I then began to leave, and as I left I said, “You’re a piece of shit, and you have no respect for your employees.” I then left the building, and I did not return.

I did work today, however, this manager was not scheduled. I spoke casually to the store manager, ops manager, and sales manager without mention to this altercation. I just thought I would let it go. However, an employee was told I was “probably going to be fired” for the altercation.

Now my question is this… Would it be wrongful termination if I am let go?

There are multiple witnesses, and many of these people were individuals I was helping. This manager and I have gotten along for the most part up until this time, but he does have temper problems. I agree I was wrong to argue, but I was there on my own time ONLY to be of help to my friends and co-workers. In my opinion, this guy should have let these employees go. He put their lives in danger by keeping them, (I’m not saying it was his call alone, I honestly am unsure of this decision) and my intentions were good.

Ok so me and my sister Amber have wanted a Siberian Husky puppy since we were little babies and knew what the breed looked like and what it was called. Well we actually found a couple who’s siberian huskies just had a litter of 5. The couple wanted $375 for them becuase they were doing a project for their house to remodel it so we talked to our mom she said it was okay that we got her.(the puppy) if we came up with the money for gas and to pay for the puppy. We called them and told them which one we wanted and they said “ok we’ll hold this puppy for you and your sister until you can get down here and pay a little bit of money so we will take it off the for sale list.” But they live in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma almost near Edmond, like maybe 10 minutes away. We called last weekend and said hey you know we have some money we will get our cousin to take us there so we can pay for the puppy they were already 3 weeks old so 3 more weeks til we could go get her and take her home. Well this past sunday 3/8/09 I called and said we’ll be there to pay for her as soon as our cousin gets here cuz we had almost $100. The guy says “we sold the dog you wanted there is only two left the white female and the black and white male.” After me and my sister heard him say that we just started bawling and crying because we just fell in love with that puppy. So we told our mom and she said they had no right to do that to us they didnt keep their promise to us. They were greedy for money cuz other people payed all the money up front and thats why we didnt get our puppy we wanted. So we just forgot about those people. If anyone knows of anyone else that has a female siberian husky puppy for a low price like under $200 near Purcell, Oklahoma cuz we like in Purcell, we’ll take it. Please help. I know this isn’t a question but we need help…. Please. If you know of anyone please comment, answer whatever you call it. Please. This means everything to us too.

Open Question: Whats wrong with my puppy????!!!!!?
Ok so I have a 7 week old puppy her mom stop’d feeding the litter at 4 weeks so i brought her home at 5 weeks.She eats a little and plays ALOT !, But she doesn’t drink very much , And a while after she pees a worm(kind of white looking but earlier kind of red) looking thing comes(im not sure from where).And she shakes alot in her sleep.It worries me,Here’s a little info on her She’s a female,A chihuahua,No shots yet,Not “fixed”,We have 2 other dogs a year old Pomeranian(had shots except 4 rabies)And a Old chihuahua(all shots and fixed).Whats wrong with her?And another question does anyone know a GOOD CHEAP vet in Oklahoma possibly near Moore?Pleaseee I really need some help!!!And thank you!!!
Her mom was gonna die if she kept feeding them!Her old owner wasnt feeding then corectly!I feed her water milk and puppy food and worme it up a little!!Moneys tight so its hard to find a good cheap vet!!

Voting Question: Anyone live at Vance AFB in Oklahoma and know about housing?
My husband is a first lieutenant (0-1) and we will be moving to enid oklahoma/vance afb in about 3 1/2 months. The housing situation is starting to concern me. Home rentals there are very rare, very often do not allow pets (we have 2 dogs), and cost way more than they should. Our BAH-housing allowance will be 927, and some of these places are wanting 1200 for rent alone. I really want to live at the Landings which is base military housing….but when I talked to them today, they said they have a very long wait list that currently has been frozen, didn’t want to discourage me, but couldn’t promise that even if we put our request in months in advance that we would actually get a house. So I’m afraid I won’t find a rental, AND won’t be granted an on base house. Plus on base housing is such a good deal with the $927 covering rent, electric, water, trash, recycling. Do realtors help with rental searches, and do they charge a fee? Are there any good websites to check out because if i type in enid ok rentals, there’s nothing out there. Anyone else been through this? I’ve been to the fleet and family center on base, they gave me lots of info, but my head is still spinning and i’m still stressing. Help!

Hello,

My husband and I want to buy our first home using a VA loan. I wanted to know would we be eligible for the first time home owners stimulus money. I heard that it was about $8000 that you can get to go towards your first home. If so is there an expiration date on that stimulus. The only reason why I asked is because a Realtor told us that we could qualify for it, but we would have to move in a house before the end of February. Is this true? My husband and I were looking to buy a home in Lawton Oklahoma. Thank you and have a great day.

Resolved Question: Moving to Oklahoma city, need some advice and suggestions…?
I live in NJ and planning to move to OK city for a job in University of Oklahoma Health Science Center that is located at 975 N.E. 10th street. I have no idea about the OK city, the only few things I heard that people are friendly, cost of living is cheaper and the real estate is also affordable.
I have kids going to school (Elementary), thus I need to find a good school district too. Also, when I talk about moving to OK, people here scaring me that the schools are not really as good as in NJ or any other NE states. Again, I have no idea….unless someone out there who lived in NE states and moved to OK would tell me what exactly the schools are in OK and good school districts around OK city. Please help to get more information…

Resolved Question: Could this be a Picasso?
I have found a small painting on what appears to be paper. It is signed picasso in red and underlined. I’ve located this painting in an old antique store in north texas. It has a very interesting frame and has the tag of a art store called Attic Arts in Oklahoma City on the back. It is says the artist is Picasso and the painting is titled Artist At Work. I purchased a book on Picasso’s work and to my amazement found not the same painting but the same man in the painting turned in the opposite direction. The painting from the catalog was done in 1965 and the store in Oklahoma no longer exist. The painting at the antique store is water damaged and the owner said she bought it from her neighbors estate after she passed and that it was water damaged at her home from a roof leak. I asked if she thought it could potentially bed a real Picasso and she said she had no idea. The painting appears to be on paper but when you look at it through a magnifier glass you can see little dots similar to how a canvas looks. Whoever painted definitely painted in one of picasso’s styles. Any ideas?

WASHINGTON – Real estate lender Colonial BancGroup Inc. has been shut down by federal officials in the biggest U.S. bank failure this year.

The Federal Deposit Insurance Corp., which was appointed receiver of the Montgomery, Ala.-based Colonial and its about $25 billion in assets, said the failed bank’s 346 branches in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Nevada and Texas will reopen at the normal times starting on Saturday as offices of Winston-Salem, N.C.-based BB&T.

The FDIC has approved the sale of Colonial’s $20 billion in deposits and about $22 billion of its assets to BB&T Corp.

Regulators also closed four other banks: Community Bank of Arizona, based in Phoenix; Union Bank, based in Gilbert, Ariz.; Community Bank of Nevada, based in Las Vegas; and Dwelling House Savings and Loan Association, located in Pittsburgh.

The closures boosted to 77 the number of federally insured banks that have failed in 2009.

The agency established a temporary government bank for Community Bank of Nevada to give depositors about 30 days to open accounts at other financial institutions. The failed bank had assets of $1.52 billion and deposits of $1.38 billion as of June 30.

Community Bank of Arizona had assets of $158.5 million and deposits of $143.8 million as of June 30, while Union Bank had assets of $124 million and deposits of $112 million as of June 12. The FDIC said that MidFirst Bank, based in Oklahoma City, has agreed to assume all the deposits and $125.5 million of the assets of Community Bank of Arizona, as well as about $24 million of the deposits and $11 million of the assets of Union Bank. The FDIC will retain the rest for eventual sale.”

All of you have safe money if your bank fails thanks to Democrats and FDR!

I suspect none of you will use this socialistic program to save your money from mismanaged banks and leave it in the bank. Won’t you? The FDIC is a “socialistic” program!

Actually most get socialism confused with this country’s Mantra: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.–That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed” No where in the declaration does it mention corrupt business and their usurpers of the US Constitution who are our largest group receiving welfare and the largest welfare frauds! It says “The people” and business is not “the People”! No one I know is a socialist, however some programs perhaps could be considered that, like the FDIC. Of course NO Republican would ever pass such a thing, but they will all be lining up at banks tomorrow getting their money thanks to Democrats!
